The amount of money invested per child in the inner city is less than the funds invested in a child in the suburban areas. Why? Are inner city students valued any less than their counterpart? I know in my classroom, I will try my hardest to make sure that every child gets the attention, the nurturing, and the time needed to be successful. I will try not to show favoritism to my students who value education more so than others. I will invest in every child, even if others think they are a bad investment.

Worth of My Students
I believe that children are to be treated as equal. Although this would be the ideal worth of children, in the best of all possible worlds, many children are not valued the same. In the education system, children are viewed as an investment. It's like buying into a stock. Those who want to invest into a good stock, will invest their money and time into children who will be more successful. The children who are not able to mature intellectually and academically, are not children people want to invest in.
